Happy New Year! I hope you all had a safe and relaxing break.
As we welcome the new year, I am filled with excitement for what 2025 holds for our community as we build on our 2024 accomplishments.
We're kicking off the start of the year with one of the Town's most loved events - the Australia Day Fireworks Spectacular.
There will also be a Big Splash Pool Party at the South Hedland Aquatic Centre from 12:00pm, so make sure you get down there to enjoy a free BBQ, or participate in the bombie competition! |

Tropical Cyclone Sean
Last weekend, Hedland saw wild weather, rain and winds as Tropical Cyclone Sean was passing through over our coastline.
TC Sean was a great test of preparedness for our community. We hope that you have an emergency plan and preparations in place should another cyclone or emegency occur.
Please make sure you are familiar with the new Australian Warning System, and utilise the resources available including:
the Town's Cyclone Information Booklet and the Disaster Dashboard. |
