Hedland has come alive with live music over the last few months thanks to the Always Good Nights acoustic sessions. The final show on Saturday 26 April will see Coterie take over the Courthouse Gallery Gardens under the stars. Limited, final release tickets are still available, so don't miss out!

Next month is Hedland's annual community expo, Celebrate Hedland. A vibrant community event for the whole family that celebrates the heart and spirit of local talent, businesses and organisations. We look forward to seeing you there!

DEADLY DISEASES DETECTED IN HEDLAND

The Town of Port Hedland is currently experiencing a major increase in mosquito numbers due to extreme rainfall, high tides, and ponding water.

Trapping and testing have confirmed the presence of Murray Valley Encephalitis and Ross River Virus in mosquitoes in Hedland. Both viruses can cause severe illness, long-term disability or in some cases, death. 

There is no treatment or vaccine. Bite prevention is the only protection. 

The Town is conducting its most extensive control program to date, including ongoing and frequent fogging and spraying (larviciding) in residential and commercial areas.

Community workshops are happening SOON!

The Town of Port Hedland is creating a unifying brand identity for Port Hedland - a 'place brand' that represents what makes our community special. 

This brand will reflect the values, character, and identity of Port Hedland, helping to attract new residents, visitors, and businesses who share these values. 

We're calling this project the 'Our Place, Our Story' and we would love to hear from YOU! 

Through workshops, we will explore existing perceptions of Port Hedland, whether these perceptions accurately reflect Hedland and what makes living in Hedland special and unique from other places.
