Hedland music and arts lovers are in for a treat again in 2024 with the Town of Port Hedland supporting a range of touring events.
Eskimo Joe and Dan Sultan headlining the Odyssea Festival is really exciting, as is the Town's sponsorship of the popular Red Country Music Festival - which will be coming to Port Hedland this year.
Check out all the great events we're supporting this year.
We also currently have our Always Good Nights Hedland live shows happening over the next couple of months.
The first two of the intimate live music shows have been sold out, so make sure to secure your tickets for one of the upcoming gigs when they go on sale. |

The Spoilbank Marina boat ramp and car park is now open for the Hedland community and visitors to use.
The boat ramp is initially available for use daily between 6am and 6pm. The opening hours will be permanently increased to 24 hours a day in the coming months once the marina lights are operational and peak turtle nesting season has finished.
The lights are designed to minimise impacts to turtles at nearby Cemetery Beach and are an important part of the project’s environmental conditions.
The Richardson Street boat ramp remains open for use 24 hours a day.
The $187.5 million Spoilbank Marina is being managed by Pilbara Ports, and is funded by the State Government, Town of Port Hedland and BHP |

Dog safety starts with you: Take the lead in responsible dog ownership
Environmental Services and Rangers have raised concern over frequent dog attacks happening in Hedland, with incidences climbing from previous years. This is having a significant effect on the Town’s resources as well as overall community safety.
Feeling safe in our community is a basic right, and the Town is committed to creating safe public spaces, streets and surroundings.
As a dog owner, you have the first and foremost responsibility of keeping your dog safe. This includes making sure they don't get out of their backyards or enclosures, as well as making sure they are registered and microchipped.
Even if your dog is registered, and found wandering, every person liable for the control of that animal at the time may be issued an infringement for: Failure to provide means of effectively confining a dog.

The Town has just completed installation of permanent shade structures at the Pretty Pool Playground.
These structures will help manage the sun and make the playground more accessible for families all year round.
It is part of the Town's commitment to provide quality amenities for the community to enjoy, and builds on the recent construction of shade structures at the McGregor Street Park and Cemetery Beach Park. |
